HREB administers the ethics review process for all faculty, staff and students who are involved in research with human participants in the health sciences faculties at the University of Alberta, Alberta Health Services and Covenant Health. Investigators within the Department of Pediatrics who are involved in studies with human participants are subject to the department’s internal review process.
