The Women & Children's Health Research Institute (WCHRI) provides access to travel funds for all trainees registered in a graduate or post-graduate program at the University of Alberta in an area related to women’s and children’s health. The trainee’s mentor must be a WCHRI member. These funds may be used for travel to a research-related conference where the trainee is presenting their research, is first author on the submitted abstract and where the abstract is clearly related to research in women or children’s health.
A maximum of $1,000 per trainee is available to:
· Resident Trainees
· Subspecialty Trainees/Fellows
· PhD Trainees
· MSc Trainees
· Post-Doctoral Trainees
Each trainee is eligible to apply once during each program type. Each mentor may sponsor a maximum of two trainee travel awards per fiscal year.
