The Women and Children's Health Research Institute (WCHRI) Science Shop program offers competitively funded training support to students interested in pursuing community-based research opportunities. The program helps match University of Alberta students with community organizations to pursue summer research projects that are mutually beneficial. Funded projects support community-based research relevant to the mandate of WCHRI.
All applications were adjudicated by Dr. Sylvia Barton, Dr. Fay Fletcher, and community representative, Ms. Roxanne Felix-Mah. The Committee was chaired by Dr. Maria Mayan, Team Lead, WCHRI Community-based Research Core.
On behalf of WCHRI, Dr. Sandy Davidge, Director, would like to thank both the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation for their ongoing financial commitment to this grant program.
WCHRI would like to acknowledge the efforts made by all applicants and their supervisors.
